Change Management Coaching

In the context of major transformations, managers have an important position. The role of a change leader goes beyond the classic leadership of employees and teams. New skills are required, which are revealed in different ways depending on the personality:

  • Act as a role model
  • Motivate employees
  • Actively shape change
  • Mediate in case of resistance

This is why coaching individual managers is an integral part of our consulting services in our change projects.

The motives for a coaching need are of different nature:

The (change leadership) skills are to be expanded or improved


Coaching is intended to reflect on one's own activities in the project or in the transformation

Because the manager wants a sparring partner to reflect on his leadership performance

Mentoring of managers is necessary to compensate for the lack of change experience

This is how we conduct our coaching

  1. Getting to know each other and defining goals (120 minutes)
  2. Coordination in threes with superiors (possibly also with HR) (60 minutes)
  3. Execution of the follow-up sessions (60-90 minutes per session), frequency and frequency is agreed individually
  4. Conclusion and review individually and subsequently with client

By telephone, online or in person?

Depending on the duration, number and intensity, the coaching sessions can be held at the client's premises, in our offices or virtually. Although personal conversations are preferred, especially during the first meeting, many of our coaching sessions take place via telephone, Skype, Zoom, MS Teams or other virtual tools. This provides flexibility in terms of location (across borders and space).
In today's world, most executives are used to virtual communication. Our change management coaches recommend that the conversation be conducted in a closed room without distraction (i.e. without computer and mobile phone!) in order to be able to conduct the coaching in a concentrated manner.
